On the way into Pondfarm, there are at both sides 2 ponds in the grassfield, that where already there before the First World War. This was the reason that the farm was given the (code) name "Pond Farm". Both ponds are on the Feraris maps from 1700 and are easy to find on the trenchmaps aswell.
